One of the cool things about Kindle books is the ability to highlight, write notes, and share sections of any book on social media. I was checking out some books on evangelism, and I noticed that this book: “Speaking of Jesus: The Art of Not-Evangelism [Kindle Edition]” had zillions of highlights. It’s got nearly 500 reviews and an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 possible stars! Huge!
After going through a bunch of the highlights, I found this one:
“The gospel is not a debate or a list of things to believe. The gospel is a person. Jesus Christ is the gospel. He is the truth. He is the point. He embodies all of the salvation/redemption/forgiveness/freedom stuff Himself, and because He is a personality, He does not require doctrinal mastery to connect with an individual.”
Do you see anything wrong with this quote? Just asking…
